Joining the corporate trading desk in 2007, Phil now over sees all of Currencies Direct’s corporate dealing activity. Having gained experience working with hundreds of businesses to optimise international payments processes and execute comprehensive risk management strategies, Phil currently works with a portfolio of corporate clients whilst managing Currencies Direct’s overall market exposure.

Phil has FCA approval and has completed the Certificate in International Treasury Management (CertiTM).

Matt Andrews

Matt heads up our team of currency analysts and has over seven years of experience in the FX industry. Matt has a comprehensive understanding of what makes the currency market tick and seeks to provide insight into how data, politics and geopolitical events all intertwine to influence the currency market.

Samuel Birnie

Samuel joined the team in 2021 and contributes a wealth of experience garnered from previous roles as a copywriter, content strategist, and English teacher. He now applies his analytical mind and keen interest in politics and economics to analysing the currency market.
