Celebrating success and strengthening connections with a memorable launch party for Brazil

On 13 February 2025, Currencies Direct celebrated a significant milestone – the expansion of our services into Brazil. 

We marked the event with an exclusive launch party at 8 Marvila in Lisbon, a once-forgotten cluster of historic wine warehouses now revitalised as a thriving cultural hub for art, commerce, and community engagement. 

The evening was filled with energy and excitement as we welcomed around 130 partners and decision-makers from major players in the Portuguese property market. 

Guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere with Brazilian-inspired drinks and canapés, set against a backdrop of raw concrete and high industrial ceilings contrasting with lush greenery and artistic light installations. 

Strengthening partnerships and shaping the future 

Reflecting on the event, Rubem Galvão, Sales Manager at Currencies Direct Portugal, shared: 

‘The launch event in Lisbon for our operation in Brazil was a success and brought together a variety of professionals from the Portuguese property market. This diversity provided a combination of experiences and perspectives that enriched every interaction. The open and welcoming atmosphere encouraged productive discussions about current market trends, such as the growing demand from foreign clients in the Portuguese property sector, with the Brazilian investor at the top of the list.’ 

He continued: 

‘In addition, the event served to reinforce our partnership strategies and allowed us to establish contact with major brands in the real estate sector, who recognised the importance of Currencies Direct being able to facilitate currency transfers from Brazil to Portugal for Brazilian investors. I hope to see this spirit of collaboration flourish as we continue to shape the future of payments in the property market.’ 

A pivotal moment in our global expansion

We are extremely excited to be bringing swift, secure currency transfers and five-star service to an entirely new continent.
