Today we’re talking to Samuel Augustine, our Client Services Manager. Samuel is based in our London office and joined the team in early 2019.

Hey Samuel! What did you do before joining Currencies Direct?

My previous positions have been in client services, settlements and accounts.

What does being a Client Services Manager entail?

My position involves maintaining relationships with our portfolio of mass payments clients, ensuring they receive excellent service and support for all their needs, and growing our mass payments client base.

What’s your favourite thing about working for Currencies Direct?

I work with the most fantastic colleagues and there’s a real collaboration and sense of go-getting. I also really enjoying being a dependable knowledge base for mass pay, banking, operations and FX information. I’m really passionate about the service we offer and I thrive on ensuring our clients can depend on us to help their business grow.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

For me the most rewarding aspect of my role is having strong relationships with our clients and the team. I enjoy how varied my tasks are and the amount of people I get to work with within the business.

What motivates you?

Doing my degree has been a game changer and I’ve loved being able to have a career while growing academically.

The journey towards meeting the end goal is what matters most to me. Every big and small step counts! I’m also saving for a house… although that feels like a bit of a pipedream!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

At the moment most my spare time is taken up with studying for my economics degree, but I do love travelling.
