CD South Africa: US and Greece ease global markets

Currencies Direct February 19th 2015 - < 1 minute read

Global markets will breathe a sigh of relief today as news from Greece and the US Fed meeting minutes for January were released yesterday. The rand starts off at 11.62/$ this morning after the US Fed meeting minutes were revealed as less aggressive as initially feared. In Europe, talks over a 6 month loan extension seem to be progressing as the Greeks will formally put in a request this morning. The data calendar is quiet today, so expect some sideways movements with markets keeping a close eye on the Greeks. Have a great day all!
